Learn how to use SillyMarkup to transform your notes into beautiful documents

Getting Started

1. Authentication

  • Click the Google icon in the navigation bar
  • Sign in with your Google account to access all features
  • Authentication enables saving and syncing your notes across devices

2. Creating Your First Note

  • Navigate to the Editor
  • Click the "+" button in the side navigation to create a new note
  • Enter a title for your note in the modal
  • Start writing in Markdown format

Editor Features

Markdown Support

SillyMarkup supports standard Markdown syntax including:

  • Headers (# H1, ## H2, etc.)
  • Emphasis (*italic* and **bold**)
  • Lists (ordered and unordered)
  • Links and images
  • Code blocks with syntax highlighting
  • Tables
  • Task lists (- [ ] todo)

Real-time Preview

The editor provides a split-screen view with:

  • Left panel: Markdown editor
  • Right panel: Live preview of formatted content

Auto-saving

Your work is automatically saved as you type, ensuring you never lose your progress.

Advanced Features

Sharing

  • Click the share icon in the top bar
  • Toggle public/private visibility
  • Copy shareable link
  • Share directly to social media platforms

Exporting

Export your notes in multiple formats:

  • Markdown (.md)
  • HTML (.html)
  • Plain Text (.txt)

Customization

Customize your editor experience through the settings:

  • Word wrap options
